TODAYS SOLUTION – Reforestation
Stopping deforestation and starting reforestation has been identified as one of the vital solutions to lowering carbon dioxide emissions. Currently, large areas of trees are being cut down at an alarming rate to be used as firewood, to clear areas of land for animals to be kept and also to create land to grow food to feed the animals. Trees soak up carbon dioxide that would otherwise be heading towards the atmosphere and they also provide oxygen. A basic assumption is that a 40-year-old tree will have absorbed around 1 tonne of Carbon dioxide. Please watch the video below to see how you can take action towards reforestation.
